Although we all know that ripe mangoes are rabbits’ favorite fruits, our previous experiment says that rabbits love to eat ripe mangoes. But can rabbits eat dried mangoes? And if it then is dried mangoes safe for rabbits?

Yes, rabbits eat dried mangoes, and dried mangoes are completely safe for rabbits if you don’t add any harmful ingredients to them. Also, rabbits love to eat dried mangoes as much as they love to eat ripe mangoes.

Today, in the morning we gave some dried mangoes to our rabbits to see whether they actually eat or not. And if eat then how do they behave during their eating?

And, as we expected their behavior was normal during eating, and they ate the whole amount of dried mangoes that we served.

Do Rabbits Eat Dried Mango?

Dried mangoes contain carbohydrates, fiber, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants which are essentials for a healthier life.

Although, these vitamins and minerals depend on the drying process and the ingredients that we add during drying.

On the other hand, dried mangoes contain high sugar and calories, which are not good if someone eats lots of dried mangoes at a time.

It’s not too hard to get dried mangoes, because you can easily convert ripe mangoes into dried mangoes. Also, you can buy dry mangoes directly from the market.

 

How Much Dried Mangoes We Gave To Our Rabbits?

We gave 5 grams of dried mangoes to our 2 rabbits, which means 2.5 grams for each. We took this little amount because we are very conscious about our rabbit’s health.

And we knew that dried mangoes contain high sugar and calories, so eating too much-dried mangoes is not safe for rabbits. That’s why we took only 5 grams of dried mangoes.

If you are thinking also to serve dried mangoes to your rabbits, then give a small amount of dried mangoes. For 2 rabbits you can take a maximum of 10 grams at a time.

We didn’t buy dried mangoes from any store or shop, we bought some mangoes, from where choose a ripe mango.

Then peel out the mango, and we also serve those peels to our rabbits to see if they can rabbits eat the mango peel or not.

And surprisingly our rabbits ate all of the peels that we gave to them. Anyway, after peeling we cut the ripe mango using a sharp knife and took some thick slices.

Then we keep them under direct sunlight by covering a net to ensure that flies or other insects can sit there. And after drying for 4 to 5 days by keeping under the sunlight we served these dried mangoes to our rabbits.

 

Can Rabbits Love To Eat Dried Mango?

Yes, rabbits love to eat dried mangoes as they love to eat ripe mangoes. Not only dried and fresh ripe mangoes, but rabbits can also eat frozen mangoes. Yes, in our previous experiment, we have shown how our rabbits are ripe frozen mangoes.

When we served 2 pieces of (5 grams) dried mangoes in front of our rabbits we saw that they start to eat instantly.

Yes, they didn’t waste time by smelling although it was the first time they tried dried mangoes.

Before that, we never gave dried mangoes, even any other dried fruits to our rabbits. So we thought that they might take time to start eating, but we were wrong.

We noticed that our rabbits looks excited while they are eating dried mangoes. And the view was amazing when they shared the same piece. Not just one piece they shared both pieces of dried mangoes.

If we consider the food amount then it’s true that rabbits took much more time to eat dried mangoes compared to other foods. But they didn’t leave anything, because our rabbits ate all the dried mangoes that we served to them.
